Flight

This is my first time out of the country. My personal motto is go big or go home. Because of this, I am going to Thailand for the next three months to volunteer for the first half and then backpack around the country the second half.

After numerous shots and thousands of dollars preparing for the trip, I am finally taking off. By request of many parents and some friends, I am creating this blog. It will be rather formal, and probably fairly boring at times, but I will try and make it as interesting as possible.

I'm thrilled for the trip, not the flight. I leave tonight at 12:05 a.m. out of SF international. I have an eight hour layover in China and another three hour layover in Bangkok. After thirty hours of traveling, I will hopefully be in Chiang Rai.

I am not looking forward to the next thirty hours, but then again, at least I'm not in school.
